Am I a good candidate for abdominoplasty surgery?
If you are in reasonably good health, but have excess fat around your tummy area, you may be a good candidate for an abdominoplasty. If you are a woman who has had multiple pregnancies, you may also be a good candidate.
How long will my tummy tuck last?
In most cases, the results of tummy tuck surgery last for many years. However, patients who subsequently gain or lose a lot of weight, or become pregnant, may lose some of the results.
Will my tummy tuck leave a permanent scar?
The abdominoplasty procedure does leave a scar. However, your clothes and a bathing suit hide the scar. Dr. Rai generally makes the incision from hip to hip above the pubic area. He removes excess fat, tissue and skin and tightens the abdominal muscles. Dr. Rai also makes an incision around the navel to reposition it for a more natural look.
